It's been a while since I wrote a short book review.

I've been so busy lately that I couldn't even read books,

but after successfully wrapping up the pre-startup package preparation and with Sunday free, I rushed through one.

I'd been interested in OKR for a long time,

and this opportunity helped me understand it much better.

OKR, in simple terms, refers to the process of setting objectives and achieving them.

It encourages team members to take proactive action.

In particular, efficient business communication techniques like CFR can dramatically reduce unnecessary meeting time,

so we're trying to implement this as a top priority within the company.

Reflecting these points, OKR takes a different approach from traditional MBO or KPI frameworks.

I was curious whether it would actually produce results,

but seeing that major companies both domestically and internationally, including Google, are using it and seeing results,

I decided to stop doubting.

  • CFR: Abbreviation for Communication, Feedback, Recognition

  • MBO: Management by Objectives

  • KPI: Key Performance Indicators
